Marvell Hale

Marvell Hale, 69, of Texarkana, Texas, formerly of Russellville, died Monday, November 29, 2010 at Dubois Hospital in Texarkana. The daughter of Sam and Elsie Mae Bewley Whorton, she was born April 7, 1941 in Russellville, Arkansas. She married Joey Hale, on May 24, 1958. Before moving to Texarkana she was a member of London Assembly of God Church. Marvell's greatest joy was spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren. She also enjoyed sewing and reading books. She was preceded in death by her father; one sister, Judy Leech; one brother, Thurman Whorton.
Left to cherish her memory are husband, Joey Hale of Texarkana, TX; mother, Elsie Whorton of London, AR; two daughters, Debbie Fendley & husband Wayne of Texarkana, TX, Donna Benson & husband Ben of Huttig, AR; two sons, Danny Hale & wife Sarah of Texarkana, TX, Greg Hale & Angie of Texarkana, TX; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; three brothers, Sammy Whorton & wife Susan of Texarkana, TX, Marvin Whorton & wife Wilma of Flat Rock, AR, Vernon Whorton & wife Winona of London, AR.
Graveside service will be 10:00AM, Thursday, December 2, 2010 at East Point Cemetery in Russellville, Arkansas. Burial will follow by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Wednesday, at the funeral home.
