Mary Linda Coon (Pitts)

Mary Linda Coon, 78, of Vicksburg, Mississippi, died Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at her home. Born on April 5, 1946, in Dover, she was the daughter of Dallas and Bessie Rains Pitts. Mary married Kenneth Coon on December 12, 1980, in San Clemente, California. She worked as a Dosimetry Specialist. Mary was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Coon of Vicksburg, Mississippi; two sons, James McMinn and Robert McMinn; a daughter, Cynthia Barnes; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sallie Ford.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Humphrey Chapel, with burial following at St. Paul Cemetery in Dover.
