Mary Alice West

Mary Alice West, age 93, of Russellville, died Friday, January 25, 2002. The daughter of Guy and Moody Kelley Ellington, she was a member of Central Presbyterian Church, where before her illness, she was active in the women's organizations. She and her husband were founders and co-owners of a wholesale company in the River Valley area. She was a charter member of the Book Review Club and was a member of the Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, W. A. 'June' West.
Survivors include two daughters, Susie West of Russellville, Mary June Young of Russellville; two grandchildren, Debi Nordin of Russellville, Wayne West Young of Russellville; seven great grandchildren, Bryan, Jodi, Jeffrey, Joy, and Jessica Johnson, Ashley, Roland, and Kelby Nordin; one great great grandchild, Timmy Johnson; one brother, Phillip Ellington of Washington; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2002 at Humphrey Chapel officiated by Rev. Kenyon Kalvismacki. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery at Russellville under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
