Mayme Etta Smith

Mayme Etta Smith, age 74, of London, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Friday July 7, 2006. A native of London and the daughter of the late Richard Dixie and Clara (Trapp) Cochran. She was a charter and life member of the D.A.V.A. for over a quarter century where she had served as Adjutant. She was deeply devoted to her family and was an avid gardner.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Bobby Ray Smith; three brothers, M.J. Cochran, J.W. Cochran, and Ira Boat Cochran; two sisters Iva Price and Lucille Spears.
Survivors include her sons Steve Smith and Robert E. Ward of London; her daughter Peggy Smith Robertson of Ola; granddaughter Natasha Robertson and her fianc Chris Grey of Ola, grandson Jeffery Robertson of Russellville; great grandchildren Heylie, Zane, and Desiree of Ola; three sisters Nellie Vinson, Ann Graham both of London, and Dorothy Harmon of Dover; two brothers R.J. Gub Cochran and Charles Cochran both of London.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Disable American Veterans Association.
Memorial service will 1:00PM Saturday July 15, 2006 at London First Baptist Church with Reverend Danny Green officiating. Following the service there will be a visitation.
