Meme Dian Pitney , 60, a resident of Russellville, died Friday, January 24, 2014, at her Residence surrounded by her family. She was born on August 19, 1953, at Helena, Arkansas. She married her husband of 16 years, Joe Pitney, on June 30, 1998, at Cabot, AR. She was a Church Secretary and a member of West Side Church of Christ in Russellville where she was active in WINGS (Women In God's Service) and teaching children's bible classes. She loved sewing, knitting and quilt making. Survivors include Husband, Joe Pitney of Russellville; Son, Charles Pitney of Russellville; 2 Daughters, Susan (Heath) Bratton of Atkins, Heather (Jason) Thornton of Owasso, OK; Mother, Dee Lee of Russellville; Grandson, Elijah Thornton, Granddaughters, Julia Thornton, and Malin Bratton, 3 Sisters, Jane King, Elizabeth McGee, Roxanne Deaton; 3 Brothers, Tom Deaton, Roy Lee, Ellis Deaton. A life celebration will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at the West Side Church of Christ at Russellville with the Dan Lightfoot and Bruce Grice officiating.
