Mike Jackson

Mike Jackson, 52, of Dardanelle, AR, died Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, AR. The son of Harold and Geneva Sutton Jackson, he was born January 7, 1956 in Harrisburg, AR. He married Vickie Watkins, on August 23, 1975 at New Hope Baptist Church in Dardanelle, AR. He was a Boiler Operater with Firestone for over 25 years. Mike helped design and build New Hope Baptist Church where he was a member. He was a loving father and husband, and a friend to many, all who knew him and loved him. He loved to work outside and play his guitar and was active in his church. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Barney & Thelma Jackson and Coy & Lula Sutton.
Survivors include his wife Vickie Jackson of Dardanelle; two daughters, Ginger and Kyla Jackson both of Dardanelle; one brother, Brad Jackson & wife Laura of Ward; parents, Harold and Geneva Jackson of Ward; one sister, Lynn Smith & husband Sam of Austin; two sisters-in-law, Doris Adams of Dardanelle, Mary Watkins of Ruston, LA.; one brother-in-law, Jim Watkins of Ruston, LA.; three nephews, Kamaron & Aaron Jackson of Ward, Lance Adams & wife Melinda of Dardanelle; three nieces, Sheila Adams of Russellville, Brooksie Millsaps & husband Will of Ruston, LA., Mary Watkins of Ruston, LA.; two great nieces, Abigail Adams of Dardanelle, Landri Millsaps. Funeral will be at 2:00PM, Friday, April 4, 2008 at New Hope Baptist Church. Reverend Joe Yates will officiate. Burial will be at New Hope Cemetery at Dardanelle, Ar by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be open from 2:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to New Hope Baptist Church, 14164 Harkey Valley Road, Dardanelle, AR 72834.
Active Pallbearers will be Trent Ford, Ron Johnson, Craig Williams, Glendon Graham, Les Gorman & Jack Hammack.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Employees of Firestone, Bob Underwood, and Dr. Russell.
