Throughout his career, he was employed by Bechtel Corporation in Louisville, Kentucky, MP&L in Port Gibson, MS, and Arkansas Nuclear One in Russellville, Arkansas. Mikel was known for his skill, strong work ethic, and willingness to help others, often providing technical support to his church and community.
A man of deep faith, Mikel was a devoted Church member. He faithfully served as a deacon and elder, taught 5th and 6th grade Sunday School, and was active in service and evangelism. He also brought joy to many as a Children’s Church leader and puppeteer coordinator and leader, including involvement in Vacation Bible School and other church ministries.
