Mirl Elizabeth Helms Obituary (1916

Mirl Elizabeth Helms, 103, of Russellville, went home to be with The Lord Thursday, January 30, 2020. The daughter of William and Ora (Lunsford) Neeley, she was born April 4, 1916 in Batesville. She was a member of West Side Church of Christ. She was a homemaker and volunteered for the Area Agency on Aging. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, and cooking for her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Lenard Helms; a son, Dr. Don Helms; an infant son, Dwight; and a granddaughter, Cheri Helms; two sisters, Mary Opal Hohmann and Edith Hill. Survivors include her son, Doyle Helms (Mary) of Waco, TX; daughter-in-law Margaret Helms of Russellville; grandson, Michael Helms of Stephenville, TX; grandson, Dr. Mark Helms (Kris) of Russellville; great-grandson, Luke Helms of Norman, OK; granddaughter, Megan Miller (James) of Waco, TX; granddaughter, Donna Mayes (David) of Searcy; grandson, Dr. Bill Helms (Kelli) of Conway, AR; great-granddaughter, Lindsey Helms of Marina, CA; great-grandson, Brandon Helms of San Antonio, TX; great-granddaughter, Katelyn Helms of Searcy; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Angie Anders. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Humphrey Chapel. Burial will be private at Gracelawn Cemetery in Tuckerman by Humphrey Funeral Service.
