Myrl (Ashley) Riley Obituary (1908

Myrl (Ashley) Riley, 95, of Hector, Arkansas, died Sunday, November 30, 2003 at Dardanelle Nursing Center in Dardanelle, Arkansas. The daughter of Ben and Mittie (Massingill) Ashley, she was born February 5, 1908 in Old Hickory, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and a charter member of the Hector Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Jonce Riley and was also preceded in death by her parents, five sons, Jimmy Don, Ben Preston, Billy, Kenneth, and Pete Riley, and one daughter, Della Culwell. Survivors include two daughters, Johnnie Ruth Robinson of Delaware, Patricia Kaye Crowell and husband Ted of Russellville; daughter in law, Melba Riley of Hector; one sister, Lettie Hice of Gurdon; 18 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson. Funeral will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, December 3, 2003 at Hector Freewill Baptist Church. Reverend Darwin Barnhouse and Mr. Larry Riley will officiate. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery at Hector, Arkansas by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 Tuesday evening at the funeral home. PDF Printable Version
