Nina Kay Blevins, 62, a devoted family woman and longtime Tyson Foods employee, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville, AR. Born on July 1, 1961, in San Pedro, CA, she was the daughter of Laverne Sipes and Lucille Freeman Lewis. Her remarkable 42-year career at Tyson Foods was just one facet of her life. She cherished her roles as a loving mother, caring gigi, dedicated daughter, supportive sister, and steadfast friend.\n\nNina was an active member of Calvary Temple Assembly of God, where she found spiritual solace and community. Beyond her professional and religious commitments, she found joy in crafting and spending quality time with her beloved family and cherished friends.\n\nShe was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, and a nephew, Timothy Caviness. Nina is survived by her daughter, Dena Blevins of Dover, and her son, Jeffery Lewis (Heather) of Moreland. She leaves behind two adoring granddaughters, Sara Faye Lewis and Sadie Maye Lewis. Her sister, Linda Caviness of Russellville, and niece, Tina Caviness, mourn her passing, along with her great-niece, Trisha Caviness Beeson (Brent) of Cassville, MO, and her bonus sister, Debbie Williams of Atkins.\n\nA Funeral Service in honor of Nina will take place at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at Calvary Temple Assembly of God. Reverends Jackie Pledger and Chris Reddell will officiate the service. Following the ceremony, Nina will be laid to rest at Coleman Cemetery in Pelsor, AR, under the care of Humphrey Funeral Service.
