Olus P. Story Obituary (1913

Olus P. Story, 89, of Hector, Arkansas, died Monday, September 15, 2003 at his home in Hector, Arkansas. The son of William and Nola (Chandler) Story, he was born December 30, 1913 in Hector, Arkansas. He was a United States Army Veteran of WWII, a retired land surveyor with the U.S. Forestry Service, a member of the Hector Masonic Lodge, the American Legion and a member of the Hector Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by two wives, Jewell Evelyn Story and Margurite Barton Tripp Story; his parents; one brother, Freeman Story; one sister, Cassie Brazil. Survivors include a son, Robert D. Story of Hector; seven grandchildren, Robert Story of Hector, Andy Story of Hector, Roger Story of Dover, Ronnie Story of Hector, Jeannie Riley of Hector, Sandy Rudder of Hector, J.W. Mackey of Hector; one step daughter, Mary Mackey of Hector; one nephew, Don Story of Bentonville; 20 great grandchildren. Funeral will be at 2 P.M. Friday, September 19, 2003 at the Hector Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Rev. David Carpenter will officiate. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery at Hector, Arkansas by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be 6-8 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. The Hector Masonic Lodge #4997 F&AM will provide pallbearers and masonic rites. PDF Printable Version
