R.D. McCaslin Obituary (1935

R. D. 'Dave' McCaslin, age 67, a resident of Russellville, died Wednesday, July 10, 2002 at his home. He was born on March 27, 1935 in Scotland, Arkansas, to Robert and Cordelia Gross McCaslin. He retired from Firestone after working for over 20 years. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in Alaska. Dave served in the Arkansas Army National Guard, Dardanelle Unit for 22 years, retiring in 1995. He loved hunting and fishing and was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Janet Fields McCaslin of Russellville; two sons and a daughter in law, Jimmy Allen McCaslin of Russellville, Don Gordon and Jamie McCaslin of Russellville; a daughter, Brenda Kay McCaslin of North Little Rock; a grandson, Phillip McCaslin of Russellville;l a sister and brother in law, Sue and Ellis Gilmore of Plumerville. Funeral service will be 10 am Saturday, July 13, 2002 at the Humphrey Chapel officiated by Rev. Roger Pearce and Rev. Kenneth Gibson and Rev. Rocky Goodwin. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park at Russellville under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
