Ralph Bailey

Ralph M. Bailey was born on February 27, 1957 in Myrtle Point, Oregon. He left for Glory on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at his home in Russellville, Arkansas.
He was affectionately known as “Ralphie” by those who loved him most.
He was joined in marriage to Yonda J. McGuire on October 14, 1977 in Boynton, Oklahoma after having met just 10 weeks earlier in a revival being held by his uncle for his soon to be father-in-law in Boynton, Oklahoma. For those who thought it couldn’t last, 46 years later they were even more in love. His whole life was focused on the church. He served in many capacities including serving on several church boards, Royal Ranger Commander and most importantly he loved to play his Bass Guitar.
On June 7, 1979, his pride and joy entered the world and he became the best Daddy ever.
He was adored by his in-laws. They thought he was just another child and never thought of him as an “in-law”.
He was loyal to a fault. He was employed with Air Cooled Exchangers for 40 years and 7 months.
Although this is not what we were expecting, we were looking for the Rapture to go together.
He was survived by his loving wife, Yonda Jean; his son, Rev. Dustin Bailey; his father in love, Rev. Glen “Papa” McGuire; his sister in love, Gerieta Banyai and nephew, Andras Banyai. He is additionally survived by three bothers and a host of extended family, friends and a wonderful church family which he adored.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Sharon Roberts Bailey and his heart adopted parents, Papa R.D. and Norma June Tackett.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, December 8, 2023 at Calvary Temple Assembly of God in Russellville. Rev. Jeff Lewis and Rev. Sam Niemann will officiate.
