Raymond John Hickman

Raymond John Hickman, Jr., 75, of Russellville, AR, died Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Hot Springs. The son of Raymond, Sr. and Mary Hickman, he was born October 18, 1937 in Chicago, IL. He married Starla Bewley and served as a lieutenant with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department for 34 years. He was a member of the Journey Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his step-daughter, Amber Starr (Ring) Hall.

Survivors include his wife, Starla Hickman of Russellville; daughter, Paige Garcia and husband, Michael of Long Island, NY; two step-children; Thomas Hickman and wife, Flora of CA, and Qassye Ring of Russellville; and nine grandchildren, Brett Garcia, Bryce Garcia, Blake Garcia, Qassye Hall, Raeanne Hall, Elizabeth Hall, Tabatha Hall, Zothan Lunsford and Lillyan Ring-Foster.

Memorial service will be held at 6PM, Monday, April 8, 2013 at The Journey in Russellville. Reverend Larry Pyle and Reverend Steven Pyle will officiate. Memorials may be made to The Journey, 3001 East H St., Russellville, AR 72801.
