Rheba L. Turner

Rheba L. Turner, age 88, a resident of Russellville died Tuesday, June 12, 2001 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center at Russellville. She was born on March 8, 1913 at Hector to Bud and Artie (Gay) Ward. She married Rayburn Turner on December 24, 1933 at Russellville. They were married for 62 years. She was a retired nurse for over 50 years having worked at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center and Millard Henry Clinic. She also worked at Dardanelle Hospital and for Dr. J. O. Pennington in Ola. In addition to working in clinics and hospitals, she did private duty nursing. Rheba was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include a son and daughter in law, Armon Dee and Elvira Turner of Judsonia; a grandson and his wife, Paul and Kim Turner of Searcy; a great grandson, Ethan Turner of Searcy; a half brother, Leon Ward of Heber Springs; a half sister, Lorene Goff of North Little Rock; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 2 P.M. Friday, June 15, 2001 at the Humphrey Chapel officiated by Rev. Larry Moore and Rev. Jesse B. Rye. Burial will be at the Old Baptist Cemetery at Russellville under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 4-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
