Robert M. Simmons

Robert M. Simmons, 69, of Dover, AR, died Saturday, July 21, 2007 at Home the son of Robert and Vivian D. Allen Simmons, he was born July 30, 1937 in Galveston, TX. He married Linda F. Rogers, on June 8, 1961 in Kensett, Arkansas. He attended Oklahoma A & M. He was a United States Army Veteran. He was a retiree of Entergy Arkansas. He was a member of the Dover Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder. Bob was active in the Dover Lions where he served as Secretary/Treasurer; Bob was instrumental in starting the Dover Area Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Fund; He also served on the board of The Gillespie Family Scholarship Fund. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife Linda Simmons of Dover; one Daughter, Heather Keith of Bedford, Texas, one grandson, Chris Keith of Bedford, Texas.
Funeral will be at 10:00a.m Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at Dover Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Reverend Tom Deere will officiate. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park at Russellville, AR by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be Tuesday 6-8p.m. at the funeral home.
