Ronald Dale "JR" Kendrick Jr Obituary (1984 - 2017)

Ronald Dale "JR" Kendrick, Jr., 33, of Pottsville, passed from this life into Glory, Sunday, December 31, 2017 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville. The son of Ronald Dale Kendrick, Sr. and Kathy Cribbins Kendrick, he was born March 8, 1984 in Russellville. He was a 2002 graduate of Russellville High School and began his Arkansas Funeral Director and Embalmer's apprenticeship with Humphrey Funeral Service in 2003 and received the Associate in Applied Sciences Degree from Arkansas State University at Mountain Home. Following his graduation, he rejoined the staff at Humphrey Funeral Service in Russellville and was a gifted restorative artist and astute embalmer always keeping up with modern techniques. His true gift was caring for others in their greatest time of loss by providing families he served with the truly unique gift of allowing them to see their loved one as they once were, before saying goodbye. When he wasn't working, which was not often, he enjoyed collecting knives and drawing. JR was preceded in death by his parents; Ronald D. Kendrick, Sr. and Kathy Cribbins Kendrick; and his uncle, Roger Kendrick. Survivors include his grandparents, Dale and Carolyn Kendrick of Pottsville; brother, Tyler Kendrick of Dardanelle; sister, Ashtin Pennington and husband, Nathan of Russellville; Uncle Keith Kendrick Pottsville, Aunt Kathy Whittington and husband, Barry of Pottsville; Uncle Ronnie Duffield and wife Susie, Russellville, Aunt Linda Duffield, Amelia Island, FL, Uncle Norman Kendrick, Kansas City, MO, Aunt Paula McCraney, Casper, WY, Aunt Ernestine Duffield, Russellville; a host of nieces and nephews and cousins. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00PM, Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Humphrey Chapel. Rev. David Downum and Rev. Randy Caldwell will officiate. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Russellville, AR by Humphrey Funeral Service. Active pallbearers are Stan Hammock, Ryan Grace, Kurt Chronister, Duffy Rye, Keith Duke, Matthew Duffield. Honorary pallbearers are current and former staff members of Humphrey Funeral Service in Russellville. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
