Ronnie "Shane" Peoples Obituary (1948

Ronnie "Shane" Peoples, 76, of Russellville, died Sunday, June 23, 2024, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. Following a private committal in the Chapel of Light, cremation arrangements were provided by the J. Herman Humphrey Dignity Cremation Center under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. The son of Lloyd and Vesta (Baker) Peoples, he was born May 9, 1948, in Tulare, CA. He married Shirley Jean (Jackson) Peoples, on May 20, 1989, at Madera, California. He was preceded in death by his parents; a twin brother, Donnie Peoples; a brother, Billy Ray Peoples; and a sister, Dixie Houseman. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Shirley Peoples; three sons: Greg Weeda, Donnie Peoples (Shellie), and Max Cloyd (Sindi); two daughters: Tami Scott and Lisa Marsicano; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and a sister, Eva Guitterez. Ronnie served in the United States Navy until his honorable discharge because of an injury. He was an active member of the VFW #2283 Rogers-Rye Post, serving on the honors team.
