Rosemary Cooper

Rosemary Cooper, 78, of Russellville, died Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Wildflower Residential Living in Russellville. The daughter of C. L. and Laura Matthews, she was born March 12, 1934 in Atkins. She was a Phone Operator with ConTel Corporation, a former Eastern Star member, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Russellville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Cooper; her parents; and her sister, Ellen Matthews.

Survivors include special cousin and friend, Carolyn Barefield and husband Donny; special friend, Ferne Phillips, of Russellville; two nephews, Tommy Romines and wife Joyce of Russellville, and Kyle Matthews of Little Rock; three nieces, Glenda Yoder and husband Mike of Russellville, Linda Long and husband Joe of Angleton, TX, Jennifer Williams and husband Mike and son Blake of Russellville; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Romines and Wanda Foster, both of Russellville; brother-in-law, Gearl Cooper and wife Arneata of Russellville; and numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday, September 14, 2012 at Humphrey Chapel in Russellville. Rev Greg Sykes and Bill Eaton will officiate. Burial will be at Atkins Cemetery in Atkins by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers include Tommy Romines, Ronnie Tripp, Butch Booher, Kevin Moore, Kirby Hemmer and Danny Hemmer.
