Rosie Lee Pillow

Rosie Lee Pillow, 86, of Russellville, formerly of Helena, died Friday, August 3, 2007 at her home. The daughter of Johnny Scaife and Rosie Smith, she was born June 6, 1921 in Marvell, Arkansas. She accepted Christ at the early as of 13. She was a Homemaker and a member of the New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the mother board. She served on the usher board with the Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, in Helena. Rosie enjoyed gardening, but mostly enjoyed taking care of her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ruben Pillow and her parents; a son, Calvin Barrett; a brother, Andrew Scaife; two grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
She is survived by two daughters, Rosie Williams & husband Johnny of Russellville, Seclester Robinson & husband Theodus of Conway; two sons, Tony Pillow & wife Marilyn of Russellville, Elmer Pillow of Conway; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dove Anna Henderson of St. Louis, Missouri, Francis Barrett of Helena and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Alex D. Bray and the Rev. Tom Scott officiating. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park at Russellville by Humphrey Funeral Service.
Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
