Ruby Lee Polczynski

Ruby “Lee” Polczynski, 88, of Russellville, AR, died peacefully at home on March 25, 2024. Lee was born on January 29, 1936, in Magoffin County, Kentucky.

Lee met and married Al Polczynski, in Wheatfield, IN, in April 1952. The wife of a 33-year career army soldier, she supported Al during a tour in Japan, two tours in Vietnam, 18 moves through the course of his career, and finally retiring to Russellville. Together they had seven boys that quickly became her focus and world. She was their supermom, making sure the household ran smoothly and the boys were set up for success. While in Leavenworth, Kansas, she was the founder and co-owner of “Browers Corner”, a local craft store.

After Al’s retirement from the military, Lee enjoyed traveling the countryside with Al in their RV, visiting friends and family, and delighted in many family celebrations. A devout member of St. John Catholic Church for the last 30 years, she also volunteered with the Alter Society.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Al, and is survived by their seven sons: Rick (Sandy) of Tampa, FL, Dan (Patty) of Story, AR, Ken (Brenda) of Saint Cloud, FL, Kevin (Tammy) of Springfield, MO, Mark (Audrey) of Indian Harbour Beach, FL, Chris (Shannon) of Augusta, GA, and Tom (Mary Beth) of Greensboro, NC; 18 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and one brother-in-law, Daniel Polczynski and a long list of nieces, nephews, and in-laws. She is preceded in death by her parents and 6 siblings.

Rosary will be held on Thursday, April 4th from 5:00pm to 5:30pm followed by Visitation at 5:30pm to 6:30pm at Humphrey Funeral Home, 2801 W Main St, Russellville. Funeral service is on Friday, April 5th at 10:00am at St. John Catholic Church, 1900 W Main St, Russellville, AR, followed by Interment at Rest Haven Memorial Park, 2500 S. Knoxville Ave, Russellville, AR, under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
