Russell Gene Jackson

Russell Gene 'Russ' Jackson, age 54, a resident of Pottsville, AR, died Wednesday, May 24, 2000 at St. Vincent's Infirmary at Little Rock, AR. He was born on August 20, 1945 at Jasper, AR, to Evan Eugene Jackson and Vice Melscena Asher Jackson. He was a Arkansas State Highway (D.O.T.) Police Officer. He was preceded in death by his father,1 brother, Arley Jackson, 1 sister, Catherine Rindleman. He was a member of the Eagles Club & Arkansas State Highway Police Honor Guard.

Survivorrs include his mother, Vice M. Jackson of Russellville; one son, Christopher Jackson of Mountain Home; two daughters, Mellissa Jackson of Mountain Home, Thelma Jackson of Mountain home; five grandchildren, Chase Jackson, Justin Studdard, Brandon Hall, Amanda Conklin, Alana Jackson; one brother, Tommy Jackson of Scottsville; three sisters, Rose Coger of Russellville Nora Harshaw of Russellville, Barbara Swilley of Pottsville; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral service will be 2 P.M. Saturday, May 27, 2000 at the Humphrey Chapel officiated by Senior Chaplain Paul Northcut of the Cross & Shield Ministries. Burial with honors provided by Arkansas State Police will be at Pisgah Cemetery at Pottsville, AR under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 6-9 PM Friday evening at the funeral home.
