Selma Brinkman

Selma Brinkman, 86, of Russellville, died Friday, November 24, 2006 at Limestone Lodge in Athens, Alabama. The daughter of Will and Adelheide (Harms) Steuber, she was born December 24, 1919 in Augsburg. She was a homemaker and a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church in Russellville. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louis Brinkman; a daughter, Dorothy Ness; three brothers, Ervin, Harold, and Johnny Steuber; and a sister, Frieda Miller.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Ruhl and husband Norman of Harvest, Alabama, and Evelyn Green and husband Gary of Joshua, Texas; one son, Gene Brinkman and wife Kimberly of Carrollton, Texas; six grandchildren, Sean Green and wife Jennifer of Crowley, Texas, Coleen Burrell and husband Brendon of Texarkana, Holly Smith and husband Shawn of Russellville, Jennifer Ruhl of Atlanta, Georgia, Ryan Ness and wife Stacy of Russellville, and Taylor Brinkman of Carrollton, Texas; three nieces and four nephews and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Russellville with Pastor Darrell Kobs officiating. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery at Augsburg under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.
