Shirley McMullen Fleck was born on March 26, 1935 in Richmond, California into a large Portuguese American family. She was the tenth of thirteen children. \nShirley moved to Camarillo, California in 1955 with her first husband, John McMullen Jr and raised her family until 1979.\nShirley relocated to northern California, then to Pottsville Arkansas with her second husband, Ray Fleck.\nShirley was an outgoing, fun person sometimes known as the "cookie lady" or the "afghan lady". She was an exceptionally generous and loving woman and will be greatly missed by all.\nShirley is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Anna Perry, her son John McMullen III, her first husband John McMullen JR and second husband, Ray M Fleck. Shirley is survived by her son Danny A. McMullen and his significant other Diane Murray, of Camarillo, CA and Russellville, AR, along with a large extended family throughout the country.\nThe family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Cindy and Darrin McCoy and family for their love and dedication throughout this journey along with Arkansas Hospice and her primary Nurse Kelsey.\nA memorial in her honor will be held at a later date.
