Shirley Frances Minton, 93, of Morrilton, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2023, at Conway Regional Medical Center. She was born August 11, 1930, in Council Hill, Oklahoma, to parents, Everett and Verlie (Turner) Shinn. She was the widow of Earl Minton.\n\nShirley was a loving, caring and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She loved to crochet, read westerns, and watch her favorite movies, “Gone with the Wind,” and “Dr. Zhivago.”\n\nShe was preceded in death by her beloved husband; her parents; and a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Fred McMillan.\n\nShe is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Katie Ann and Michael Epperson of Solgohachia; a son, Douglas Earl Minton of Huntsville; grandchildren: Michael and Kimmberley Epperson, Audrey Epperson and Thomas Epperson; great-grandchildren: Kristy and Kevin Barrios, Sr., Mikaeyla Epperson, Mishelle Epperson, Michael Epperson, Jr., and Mikenzie Epperson; a great-great-grandchild, Kevin Barrios, Jr., and grand-dog, Maggie Mae.\n\nA graveside service and burial will be 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Oakland Cemetery in Russellville under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service with Pastor Robert Williams officiating.\n\nThe family would like to express their deepest gratitude and appreciation to Virginia McCoy for her devoted support of our mother, the doctors and staff of Conway Regional Medical Center, Gentiva Hospice Home Care, and The Blossoms of Conway.\n\nShirley’s internet obituary and online guestbook are available at www.humphreyfuneral.com.
