Sonya F. (Mathews) Leavell Obituary (1949 - 2023)

Sonya F. Leavell, 73, of Dover, AR, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2023. The daughter of Earl Mathews Jr (Pedro)and Edith Millsaps Mathews. She was born May 20, 1949 in Dover, AR. Sonya enjoyed gardening, fishing and spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Calvin Bryan Leavell and two brothers in law. Survivors include two daughters, Shannon Mixon (Scott) of Dover, Heather Freeman (Jason Louis)of Dover; one son, Jason B. Leavell of Dover; one brother, Ronnie Mathews(Ruby)of Dover; two sisters, Diann Hull (Robert) of Dover and Vickie Hull (Paul) of Dover; two sisters in law, Della Williams of Dover and Frankie Lunningham (Ricky) of Lutherville along with numerous extended family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00AM, Monday, February 13, 2023 at Adams Cemetery in Lutherville by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Sunday, February 12th at the funeral home.
