Stanley Ray Shuffield, 65, of Dover, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2019 at his home. The son of W.D. and Senora Claudine Stumbaugh Shuffield, he was born October 24, 1953 in Russellville. He was a graduate of Arkansas Tech University. He married Donna Brown, on December 20, 1975 at Dover. He was a Mechanical Engineer with Arkansas Nuclear One in addition to being a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, a great brother and friend. He was a member of the Martin Township Rural volunteer Fire Dept. and served as secretary. He was a member of the Valley Community Church of God where he served as Deacon, Secretary/Treasurer and Sunday School Superintendent. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, farming cattle, telling stories and making people laugh, basketball and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents.\n\nStanley leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Donna Shuffield of Dover; a son, Stanley Don Shuffield (Sara) of Dover; two daughters, Christie Shoulders (Brian) of Dallas, TX; Debbie McCastlain (Ted) of St. Petersburg, FL; two grandchildren, Sarah Shuffield, Zayden Williams both of Dover; four sisters, Brenda Pentz; Rutha Freeman (Bob); Carolyn Lee (Mike) and JoAnn O'Neal (Jim).\n\nFuneral Service will be held at 2:00PM, Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at Pleasant Grove Assembly of God. Rev. Jackie Pledger will officiate. Burial will be at Pollard Cemetery in Dover by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Monday, at the funeral home.
