Stella Ruth (Johnson) Shipley Obituary (1939

Stella Ruth Shipley, 80, of Russellville, passed away, Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Stella Manor Nursing Home in Russellville. The daughter of Lester and Nina Estella Jobe Johnson, she was born June 8, 1939 in Pope County. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of the Living Church of God. She enjoyed making quilts and going to quilt shops, visiting Branson and going to Johnny Cash Shows, going to Red Lobster and getting a daily coke from Sonic "a foot high" as she called it. She was preceded in death by her husband Ansol Shipley; her parents; sister; Ruby Lasiter; infant brother, Earl Johnson, brothers, Doyle Johnson, Wayne Johnson and Elmer Dean Johnson. Stella is survived by a son, Dennis and (Heather) Shipley; five daughters, Lisa (Clyde) Diamond; Debbie (Ron) Hudson; Tammy (Mitchell) Chasteen; Marsha (Kenneth) Erdelyi; Angela (Matt) Bolanis all of Russellville; 15 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and a sister, Carolyn Clair of Pottsville. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Restoration Church in Russellville. Mr. Davy Crockett will officiate. Burial will be at Pisgah Cemetery in Pottsville by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Friday, at the funeral home.
