Thomas Edward Yarb, 61, of Russellville, died Friday, July 31, 2020, at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center. The son of Thomas Edward, Sr., and Brazil (Brown) Yarb, he was born August 9, 1958, in Greenville, SC. He married Diane May (Maudsley) Yarb, on May 3, 1980, at Hollywood, FL.\n\nThomas served 10 years in the United States Air Force, after which he spent most of his working career as a battery technician in the manufacturing industry. He always loved tinkering in technology & electronics. He loved all kinds of animals and was a proud member of the Humane Society. Keeping a beautiful lawn, doing volunteer work, fund-raising and helping people were among his most passionate investments of time and resources. He enjoyed assisting the residents of Friendship Services, and helping Diane deliver flowers from Ten Box (Harp's) on Valentine's Day. They spent many miles together riding their motorcycles cross country.\n\nThomas was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Diane; three daughters: Stephanie Brockman (Keith) of Russellville; Catherine Wiedor (Dan) of Elizabeth City, NC; and, Jessica Johnson (Richard) of Ludowici, GA; two sisters: Terri Ortiz (Richard) of Sunrise, FL; and, Victoria Maldonado of Russellville; 11 grandchildren, and other nieces & nephews.\n\nCremation arrangements are under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
