Rev. Thurman J. Hill

Rev. Thurman J. Hill, age 86, of Hector, Arkansas, died Friday, December 13, 2002, at his home. He was born May 21, 1916 at Hector to William Arthur and Martha (Llewellyn) Hill. Rev. Hill was a Navy veteran of WWII, a member of the Hector Assembly of God Church, and the 2002 Hector Wildcat Booster Fan of the Year. He loved to hunt and fish. He was preceded in death by two children, James Hill and Linda Hill; two grandsons, Harold Wayne Martin and Michael Lay; one son in law, Glynn Millsaps; two brothers, William Hill and Clyde "Buck" Hill; two sisters, Edna Coffman and Dorothy Thordsen.
Survivors include his wife, Gertrue Hill of Hector; two sons and daughters in law, Tommy and JoAnn Hill of Hector, Tim and Sadra Hill of Pottsville; six daughters and sons in law, SUe and Roger Lay of Dover, Jane and Donald Barton of Hector, Brenda Millsaps of Hector, Sharon and Dickey Barnett of Dover, Donna and Davis Riddle of Russellville, Jeanie and B.J. McAlister of Dover; 24 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; six sisters, Evelyn Parrish of Hector, Myrtle Andrews of Oklahoma, Mara Anna Stevenson of Oregon, Helen Blankenship of Oregon, Sue Ballinger of Missouri, Velma Blankenship of Oregon.
Memorials may be made to the Pope County Hospice Group and the Hector Assembly of God Church.
