Trella V. Chronister Obituary (1927 - 2020)

Trella V. Chronister, 93, of Russellville, died Monday, October 12, 2020, at Russellville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. The daughter of Haney and Sarah Estella (Farmer) Chronister, she was born July 29, 1927, in the Happy Valley Community near Russellville. Following her high school graduation, Trella attended Draughon School of Business in Little Rock, where she earned an Associate's Degree. She was an Administrative Assistant with the Arkansas Department of Rehabilitation throughout her working career. She enjoyed worship with her faith family at Gravel Hill Church of Christ. At age 19, Trella contacted polio, but she never allowed her handicap to hold her back from completing her education, and even acquired her driving license in her 50's. She was an inspiration to many for working hard toward life goals even in the face of challenging life circumstances. She was preceded in death by her parents; and, Don & Doynne Hudson, who both considered her as their sister. She is survived by her many cousins and many extended family members & friends. Her family would also like to acknowledge & extend special appreciation to her caregivers: Belinda Bishop, Tammy Smith, Becky Haynie, Alicia Duvall, Judy Taylor, Monika Farrell, Edna Earp & Cathy Moro; as well as the compassionate staff of Russellville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, and Kindred Hospice. A private family graveside & burial service under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service will be held at Paschal Cemetery with Rev. Scott Roderick officiating.
