Troy Hollowoa

–

Russellville, Arkansas

Troy Elmer Hollowoa, 88 of Russellville, was born on August 28, 1934, in Russellville, Arkansas and passed away on July 7, 2023, at his home surrounded by family. Troy was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather who always maintained a positive attitude and spread joy and happiness to others.

Troy was a millwright and carpenter, dedicating 47 years of his life to the construction industry before his retirement in 2002. He was a 61-year member of Millwrights Local 216, and a member of the Centerville Assembly of God church for over 50 years where he served roles of Sunday School Superintendent and a Deacon. Troy enjoyed spending time with his family. He seemed to always have the right answers and willingly shared his wisdom with others. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years, but in his latter years his hobby became mowing and caring for his yard. He always kept his yard in immaculate condition and was happiest when the grass was growing, and he could mow just about every day.

Troy is survived by his children, Shirley Keylon and Butch Hollowoa and wife, Tami; three grandchildren, Jennifer Watson and husband, Chris, Derek Hollowoa and wife, Brooke, and Blake Hollowoa and wife, Katie Beth; two great-grandchildren Mattie Watson and Preston Hollowoa and one on the way; his siblings Peggy Smith and husband, Jim, and Kenny Hollowoa and wife, Audrey; sister-in-law Blanche Hollowoa.

Troy was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Shirlene Hollowoa; his grandson, Kevan Keylon; his parents, Sullivan and Alma Hollowoa; his brothers, Lester, James, and Julius Hollowoa; and his sisters, Emma Standridge and Lola Kindrick.
