Veta Wynn Petersen, age 90, a resident of Russellville, Arkansas , formerly of San Jose, California, died Sunday, March 17, 2002 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville, AR. She was born on September 9, 1911 in Hollister, OK, to the late Charles and Clara Belle (Mattox) Wynn. She was the widow of Holgar Petersen and was also preceded in death by 3 sisters, Flo Himes, Jane McKnight & Thelma Johnson; 3 brothers, James Wynn, Bob Wynn & Chester Wynn. She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Kristine and Roger Maly of Las Vegas; a grandson, Brett K. Maly of Las Vegas; a sister, Lorene Van Sickle of San Jose; two nephews, Don and Sherry Wynn of London, Brian Wynn of Russellville; a niece, Tracy and Scott Savage of Russellville; numerous other family members. Memorial Graveside service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, March 23, 2002 at Rest Haven Memorial Park. The body was cremated. Arrangements are under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
