Wannie Catherine (Parker) Jones Obituary (1930 - 2019)

Wannie Catherine (Parker) Jones, 89, of Dover, died Thursday, June 20, 2019, at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. The daughter of Monroe and Willie Alta (Manes) Parker, she was born April 14, 1930, in Cardin Bottoms, AR. She cared for and enriched her loving family all her life as a homemaker, and nurtured their spiritual care in the Baptist faith. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Cecil Nordeen Jones, with whom she is now together again with for all eternity; her parents; a son, Gary E. Jones and his wife, Brenda (Profitt) Jones; three brothers, Sam Parker, Parker Parker, and Nubby Parker; one sister, Blackie Hundley; and her brother-in-law, Bill Jones. She is survived by her son, Cecil Jones, Jr. (Jean) of Clarksville; a brother, John Parker (Carolyn) of Dardanelle; her sister-in-law, Kay Parker of Dardanelle; four grandchildren, Gary Dean Jones of Muldrow, OK; Cathy Rocole (Lee) of Clarksville; Mitzi Jones of Dover; and Angela Titsworth (Josh) of Russellville; 14 great grandchildren; and many other nephews and nieces. Funeral service will be held at 10:00AM, Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at Humphrey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Smith officiating. Burial will be at Pollard Cemetery in Dover by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm, on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
