William Franklin Felkins

William Franklin Felkins, age 85, a resident of Hector, AR, died Monday, January 13, 2003 in Talala, OK. He was born on February 26, 1917 in Rhetta, AR, to Henry and Annis (Clinkenbeard) Felkins. He married Patricia L. Porter on December 15, 1972 at Pueblo Colorado. He was a retired Custodian with Hector Public Schools. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Verlis Felkins; and a sister, Anna Belle Felkins. He was a member of Hector Free Will Baptist Church. According to his wife Pat, 'He loved anything outdoors, especially fishing.'
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Felkins of Hector; three sons, Larry and Liz Felkins of Talala, Randall and Doris Felkins of Collinsville, Keny and Inna Felkins of Collinsville; four daughters, Dayna and Bill McComb of Dologah, Cheryl and David Wells of Sallisaw, Kimberly and Kenneth Duncan of Hector, Alladean 'Allie' and Jerry Rogers of Talala; three brothers and two sisters in law, Floyd and Erma Mae Felkins of Oklahoma City, James Felkins of Houston, Glenn and Ann Felkins of Commerce City, Colorado; seven sisters and brothers in law, Nova and Robert Bailey of Roseberg, Oregon, Esther and John Walker and Evelyn Foster of Eckert, Colorado, Lola and Bill Huston of Elizabeth, Colorado, Angela Refior of Talala, Oklahoma, Martha and Leroy Link of Hector, and Thelma Cole of Commerce City, CO; a stepson, Kevin Kirkpatrick of Houston, Texas; 17 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 18, 2003 at the Hector Free Will Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Ellis McCuin, Rev. Charles King, and David Wells. Burial will follow at Solo Cemetery at Hector, AR under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday Evening at Humphrey Funeral Service.
