Willis Dean Ledford Willis Dean Ledford, 70, of London, AR, died Monday, June 29, 2009 at his home. The son of Otto and Ollie Carpenter Ledford, he was born August 8, 1938 in Dover, AR. He married Pirley Harris on July 4, 1998 at Booger Hollow Tabernacle. He was a Logger with Gary Ledford Logging Co. for many years. He loved to hunt and fish. He was a great contributor to the wildlife. He would raise wild turkey eggs from Garland County, and transplant the turkeys to Pope County, helping to build the turkey population. Willis enjoyed visiting the elderly at Seven Oaks Retirement Center; He was an excellent carpenter. His greatest accomplishment in life was his wonderful children. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ott Henderson, Cecil Ragsdale; sisters, Johnnie Hull, Loretta Hull, Norma Yarber. Survivors include his wife Pirley Ledford; kids, Gary & Tanya Ledford, Sherry & Dave Hays, Amanda & John Mitchell, Tina Bourland, Johnny Ragsdale, Doug & Kathy Snow, Connie Ragsdale; grandkids, Shaina Harris Brandy & Jade Hays, Tayley Sharp, Harley Mooney, Jamie Bourland, Hannah Ragsdale, Vanessa Hampton, Xzavier Lay, Drake Davis, Zachery Mitchell, Hayley Hawkins, Tyler Mitchell, Lillian Mitchell; eight great grandkids; brother, Gerald Dean Ledford; sister, Beatrice Chisum. Active Pallbearers will be Anthony Peanut Cowell, Harold Parker, Keith Frost, Steve Bocksnick, James McMinn, Jay Hagans Honorary Pallbearers will be Don Whorton, Larry Willcutt, Johnny Dale Ragsdale, Danny Joe Parker and his many hunting buddies. Funeral will be at 10:00am, Thursday, July 2, 2009 at Booger Hollow Tabernacle. Brother Gary Willcutt will officiate. Burial will be at Owens Cemetery at Dover, Arkansas by Humphrey Funeral Service.
