Zeron Vernon Bittle Obituary (1917

Zeron V. "Red" Bittle, 88, of Ola, died Thursday, December 1, 2005 at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock, The son of Jacob Ervin and Maudie (Wells) Bittle, he was born September 10, 1917 in Nimrod, AR. He was a 1935 graduate of Ola High School where he earned an engineering scholarship. He was a member of the Ola United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-one years Ora Lee (Byrum) Bittle by his parents and infant daughter Catherine Lee Bittle. Survivors include two daughters Nancy Dixon of Texarkana and Sandy Kaye Wood and Rick of Ola, three grandchildren Stanton Dixon of Ashdown, Kathy Whitley of Texarkana, Stephanie Wilson of Azle, TX, four great grandchildren Katie Lynn Dixon of Ashdown, Joshua Dixon of Ashdown, Samantha Hamilton of Azle, TX and Megan Hamilton of Azle, TX Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am Saturday, December 3, 2005 at Ola United Methodist Church with Rev. John Zolk and Rev. Billie Jean Tate officiating. Burial will be at Sandlin Cemetery at Ola under the direction Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be Friday 6 until 8 pm at the funeral home.
